- This Championship is confined to Irish Draught Two Year Old Fillies, the progeny of a Registered Irish Draught Mare or Appendix Mare and R.I.D. Stallion who have qualified at selected ISA shows this season.
- Each entry must have her passport available for checking by the I.S.A. Representative, both at the Qualifying Show and at the Final to confirm that she is eligible to compete. No filly will be selected unless her passport is in order.
- Two animals in each qualifying class may be selected to compete in the final provided the judges agree the standard is high enough.
- One of the judges at the qualifying show must be from the Irish Draught Horse Society list.
- Animals qualified for Final are not eligible to enter any other class at Limerick Show.

The aim of the class it to give recognition to Breeders who breed suitable mares to produce top quality foals with performance potential.
Rules and Conditions
- Entries confined to Mares 7 years old and under entered in the Irish Horse Register with foal at foot by a sire on list of "Reommended for Breeding" (approved) stallions published by Horse Sport Ireland and the Northern Ireland Horse Board or a Thoroughbred sire registered in Weatherby's General Stud Book. The class is open to thoroughbred mares with foal at foot by a non-thoroughbred sire on the list of "Recommended bor Breeeding" (approved) stallions published by Horse Sport Ireland.
- Each mare and foal will be judged as a unit (Mare 40%, foal 60%).
- The mare's passport will be inpected before judging commences at both qualifiers and final and the foal's ID cert at the final. Exhibitors failing to produce a passport will be debarred from competing.
- Two mares and foals may qualify if the judges and the ISA argee that the standard is high enough.
- All foals must be led at both the qualifiers and the final.
- Mares and foals qualified for Final are not eligible to enter any other class at the show other than qualifiers for other finals.

- This championship is confined to Registered Connemara Pony Mares 4 years old and upwards with foal at foot only.
- In qualifying shows, mares placed first in each class 4 years old and upwards with foal at foot will qualify for championship.
- In qualifying shows, where a 3 to 4 year old class is combined and is won by a 3 year old pony then the second pony in the class can be the qualifying pony provided she is 4 years old with foal at foot. No pony placed below second in this situation will qualify.
- Where a pony has qualified at aonther show then the pony placed second to her is deemed to be the qualifying pony.
- Where the first two ponies have already qualified at other sgows bo other pony in that class qualifies.
- Each pony selected at qualifyong shows will receive a specially designed Finalist Rosette and thereafter are eligible to compete in the Midland Connemara All Ireland Brood Mare Championship which will be held at the Midland Connemara Pony Show on Sunday 25th July 2010 at Annagharvey Farm, Tullamore, Co. The Traditional Irish Horse Breeding Society Limerick Lady Championship 2010
Conditions
- For two year old non-thoroughbred filllies, suitable for producing hunters, showjumpers and eventers.
- Fillies must have been registered as foals with the IHB as FOALS and must be by approved
- Thoroughbred stallions or
- Registered Irish Draught Stallions or
- Irish Sport Horse Stallions provided that such stallions are of thoroughbred and/or thoroughbred/RID cross.
- Dams of fillies must also be by stallions as above and registered with the IHB.
- All exhibitors must have their filly's passport (Green Book) athe qualifying show and at the final.
- The entry fee for a qualifying class is €15. Entry fee to the final in €20. The latter must be paid to the judge at the qualifier.
- Fillies entered in the qualifying class must also be entered in some other class at the show.
- More than one filly may be selected at any qualifying show provided that the standard of entries warrants such selection.
- Should the standard of entries be deemed to be insufficient at any qualifying show, no filly will be selected at that show.
- Infringement of these conditions or chamionship regulations may disqualify.
Each filly selected at qualiying shows will receive a Limerick Lady Rosette and thereafter are eligible to compete in the All Ireland Limerick Lady Chamionship final to be held at Limerick Show on Saturday 21st August 2010.

Guidelines for Limerick Lady Two-Year-Old Fillies
- The aim of the Society is to select two-year-old fillies with quality and qubstance whose progeny when put to a thoroughbred stallion will produce the traditional Irish bred sport horse.
- These fillies must have good conformation and be free from any hereditary defects.
- Particular attention will be paid to the following:
- Four good strong limbs, especially in the fore leg below the knee
- Good movement
- Good outlook - head, neck and shoulders
- Temperament to be a potential brood mare
- The breeding of these fillies must conform to the qualifications as stated in the conditions for entry for the Irish Farmers Journal Limerick Lady Championship

Regulations

Failure to comply with these regulations will lead to disqualification.

The aim of this competition is to promote and develop all aspects of correct preparation and showing of livestock by young exhibitors.
Rules and Conditions
- The competition is open to boys and girls who have reached the age of 12 years on 1st August 2010 and who have not reached the age of 17 years by that date. Evidence of date of birth may be requested.
- Entries to be made direct to the Secretary of Swinford Show on the prescribed Entry Form. Entry form should be completed in full, solely by the entrant and should be lodged with the Secretary of Swinford Show on or before Tuesday 17th August 2010 with an entry fee of €10.
- Animals must be under 12 months of age on the day of final.
- Animals do not have to be the property of the entrants. Entrants are advised to choose an animal with the best potential to demonstrate their skills of grooming and showing.
- Animals must be accompanied by cattle identity card/passport and be presented to the judge on show morning unwashed and ungroomed for initial inspection whereupon each participant will be briefed regarding correct procedure to follow.
- The use of mechanised washers and dryers is not allowed for animals competing in this class.
- Entry forms should be counter signed by a parent or guardian or a local show officer

- Entry is confined to a pair of Ewe Lambs, which will be judged as a pair.
- All classes are open to pedigree and non-pedigree flocks.
- A competitor may enter two pairs of Ewe Lambs from his or her flock.
- Entries to be made direct to the Secretary of the appropriate show.

Rules and Conditions
- Entry in each class is confined to Hogget Ewes (i.e. 1 year old/not more than 2 permanent teeth), which fit the description of that class.
- All classes are open to pedigree and non pedigree flocks.
- A competitor may enter a maximum of 2 entries in each class from their own flock.
- Sheep entered in these classes are not eligible for other classes in Swinford Show.
- Entries to be made direct to the Secretary of Swinford Show, marking envelope "Growvite".
- Closing date for receipt of entries is Tuesday 17th August 2010.
- The foregoing rules should be read in conjunction with ISA General Rules, together with Swinford Show rules.

- Each exhibit to consist of four items from the list below
- 1lb jar of jam any type, or Apple Tart.
- Any article in knitting, crochet or embroidery.
- Handmade picture, any medium, max 60 cms. x 45 cms.
- Bouquet or tied bunch of fresh garden flowers.
- Six Pansies displayed on a plate or six Sweet Pea.
- Two types of vegetable (3 per type excluding potatoes).
- The articles must be the sole work of the exhibitor who must have amateur status and all items entered should be either made or grown by the exhibitor.
- Exhibitors may qualify once only.
- This competition will be judged on a points system.
- Two exhibitors from each qualifying show.

The Odlums All Ireland Home Cooking Championship

Rules and Conditions
- Each competitor will bake 4 items using Odlums Products:
- High Fibre Bread (baked in 900g/2lb Loaf Tin)
- Battenburg Cake
- 6 Savoury Muffins (using your own creativity)
- Jam Filled Swiss Roll
- The items should be displayed as one exhibit on a base not exceeding 24" x 24" accompanied by an empty bag of the Odlums product used in the recipe.
- Points will be awarded for texture, taste and presentation, which should be simple.
- The competition is confined to amateurs, male and female and one tray only per exhibitor at the final.
- The items must be fresh and home baked by the exhibitor.
- A special class will be held at each qualifying show. The winner from each of these shows will go forward to the final at Tullamore Show on Sunday, 8th August 2010.
- All items will be cut and/or sampled at the final.
- Each of the successful qualifiers will receive a hamper containing Odlums Produces on appearance at the final.
- Judges decisions are final at all stages of competition.
- Exhibits are displayed at owner's risk.
- These rules should be read in conjunction with the General ISA Rules.

- The vegetables exhibited should be home grown.

- The collection may consist of up to but not more than five (5) kinds of vegetables. Cut greenery from the garden, including parsley may be used and will be classified as decoration. The space required is at the discretion of the exhibitor.
- Points will be awarded for uniformity of size, quality, freshness and artistic appearance of exhibit.
- Only one collection per exhibitor is permitted.

Rules and Conditions
- In this competition the produce must be the property of, and be grown by the exhibitor.
- Each exhibit to consist of the following: A dish of 6 potatoes of any variety. The variety to be correctly named. Each tuber should be free from skin blemishes, be true to type, and weigh approximately 6 ozs. (170g).
- Two exhibits to qualify at each show.
- This being a quality championship, the adjudicators will favour floury, high dry matter varieties, which are popular with the Irish customer.
- These rules should be read in conjunction with the General ISA Rules.

- The competition is open to large fowl, heavy soft feather, female.
- Exhibits must be pure bred confined to the following breeds: Australorp, Barnevelder, Brahma, Cochim, Croad Langshan, Dorking, Faverolles, Frizzle, Marams, Orpington, Plymouth Rock, Rhode Island Red, Sussex, Wyandotte - these are the only breeds accepted. No bantams & no Waterfowl.
